Send time optimization, or predictive sending, is the practice of sending marketing emails when they’re most likely to be opened and read. Instead of sending thousands of bulk emails at once, you can use send time optimization to make sure contacts get the emails at times appropriate for their time zones and when they’re most likely engaged.
Predictive email sending is a feature that allows your email service provider to decide when is the most likely time individual contacts will read your emails based on time zone and past behaviors.
You can enable predictive sending at any time. If there isn’t enough historical data, there will be a warm-up period in which emails will be sent at random intervals to gather insights. Once there’s enough information about each contact, emails will be sent with personalized, predictive send times.
Predictive sending timing is recalculated weekly and only applies if you have it enabled and are actively using the feature. Enabling predictive sending means sending at least one campaign with predictive sending or adding a predictive send block in automation. Once enabled, results will take up to a week to reflect and improve with regular use.
