When a contact reaches out via chat, this automation creates a deal so that you can track them across your pipeline. You could also check to see if the contact already has an open deal, and take the desired actions from there.
NOTE: This automation must be used with the Conversations feature.
How does the create a deal in Conversations automation work?
Here's how this automation works:
1. The contact submits their email to the Conversations form in the chat widget and enters the automation
2. You use a Create Deal action that assigns a stage, pipeline, and owner to the contact
3. The contact exits the automation
Pro-tip: If you want to make sure a contact with an already-open deal doesn't get assigned another one, you can build an IF/ELSE action that looks for contacts who already have a deal with an "Open" status so that they aren't assigned an extra deal.
