Making the data you already collect on your contacts and customers more actionable is the key to building a great customer lifecycle strategy.

When you know specific details about your customers, you can orchestrate personalized experiences that help you stand out from your competition and save you time.

We’re introducing a new automation action to help you take more action on the data you already have on your customers and deals, making both your marketing and business processes smarter.

The Perform Math automation action allows you to perform basic math operations on custom fields and custom deal fields.

For any number, currency, or date field, you can create an automation action that adds, subtracts, multiplies. or divides numeric values or currency values.

Additionally, you can adjust date fields by adding or subtracting days.

Save time doing manual entry

Instead of manually updating or changing contact information, leave the hard work to your automations to adjust dates, currency, or numbers.

Make your data more actionable

Perform Math action is another way to tailor your automated workflows to fit your business goals.

Sum the number of appointments or page visits a customer has made. Keep track of how many demo calls a sales rep has completed. Move dates out based on last purchase date.

Here are some other useful ways you can put Perform Math action to work:

  • Send perfectly timed follow-ups. When someone purchases via your website or submits a form, extend dates out for offers or webinars to more easily send date-based reminders or sequences.
  • Update fields based on engagement. Increase opportunity size of a sales deal based on engagement or number of appointments booked.
  • Stay up to date on your sales opportunities. Modify proposed close date as a deal moves stages in your pipeline.

You can copy the automation template below by accessing the “Adjust Expected Close Date on Deal” in the Recipes tab of the automation builder.

All your customer data in one place

Now you’re one step closer to housing all the important details about your customers in one place.

Previously, to update fields using math functions, you had to funnel the data to a third party tool to modify the field. With the Perform Math action, all of this can happen inside ActiveCampaign.

The Perform Math action gives you the power to be proactive with your customers without having to manually enter the information in your ActiveCampaign account.

You can start using the Perform Math automation action by accessing the Conditions and Workflows tab.
