Track Who Reads Your Blog

ActiveCampaign

Do you know how to track your blog traffic? Who are your blog readers? Do you want to see the last time website visitors were on your blog?

The "Blogger: Track Who Reads Your Blog" automation recipe helps you see who reads your blog, and when they were last on your blog.

Tools like Google Analytics give you blog visitor tracking insights -- this automation recipe goes a step beyond to monitor blog engagement and record the last time your email subscribers were on your blog.

Before importing this automation recipe into your ActiveCampaign account:

- Set up site tracking through ActiveCampaign on your blog pages
- Create a custom contact field for "Last Blog Engaged Date"

Here's how the automation recipe works:

1. The automation is triggered when a contact visits your blog homepage or any specific blog page through the ActiveCampaign site tracking code
2. The automation updates the custom contact field "Last Blog Engaged Date" to the current time
3. The automation ends

NOTE: Site and event tracking will trigger the automation when the visitor is recognized as an email subscriber. This automation recipe does not track and record the blog engagement of a website visitor who is not on your email list or recognized as an email contact.
