Holiday Thank You On Purchase


There's no better time for a contact to buy then during a big sale, so why not make sure they got everything they need?

Even when a purchase is made during a holiday sale, a contact may miss out on a great deal for something else they need. Adding an email to highlight your top deals to your thank you flow can help drive repeat purchases during a sale and bring to light deals contacts missed. You can even add a small discount to incentivize another purchase on top of the great deals you're already offering.

This automation is triggered when a contact makes a purchase from your ecommerce store. The trigger is further segmented with date/time conditions for the duration of your holiday sale, so contacts only enter when it's occurring. The contact is then sent a thank you email in line with your holiday messaging and then, after a short wait, are sent an email showing off your other top offers.

Here's how this automation works:
1. The contact enters the automation when they make a purchase during the time frame in the segment condition.
2. The contact is sent a thank you email in line with your other holiday marketing.
3. The contact waits for 5 hours in a wait step.
4. The contact is sent an email showing your top deals from your sale.

Note: Segment the trigger with the timing of your holiday sale using Time/Date conditions. In our example, our condition is "current month is December". Feel free to adjust this to what makes sense for your business.
