Yesterday I was going through my calendar looking for any meeting I could cancel to have one less Zoom call. Today I’m feeling the opposite, excited for hours of Zoom type meetings — because I heard Dreamforce 2020 is going to be a virtual event.
Dreamforce is the world’s largest technology conference. It started as an event focused on B2B companies who use Salesforce’s software. But the conference has expanded to attract hundreds of thousands of people a year because of its focus on growth for all types of businesses, regardless of country, language, or company size. Dreamforce has become a hub — a place for people looking to build their careers, businesses trying to connect with potential customers, and companies who want to learn how to grow.
What should you expect from the conference? Well little is announced yet, but registration is live. You can sign up for FREE! which is a big treat since typically this conference costs thousands to attend in person. And Salesforce is known for amazing content, including attracting some big-name presenters. Past Dreamforce presenters include:
- Former President, Barack Obama
- Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg
- Former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Colin Powell
- Former Secretary of State, Condaleeza Rice
- Entrepreneur and Author, Gary Vaynerchuk
- World Cup and Olympic Champion, Megan Rapinoe
The conference is also known for big activations from sponsors. In the past some sponsors have given away Teslas or trips around the world. It will be exciting to see how that translates digitally.
I wonder what the attendance record is for the largest online conference? Maybe Salesforce set that mark earlier this year with TrailheaDX. In past years, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff has said that millions of people around the world were joining in on Dreamforce sessions virtually…and that was on top of the reported 170,000+ attendees in San Francisco.
What will ActiveCampaign be doing? We’ll be sharing best practices from the sessions, conveying everything we hear and sharing how it relates to growing businesses. We’ll also be creating some of our own content along with the event. Want to stay up-to-date? Follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn, where we’ll be posting this content.
Looking forward to joining you at the event.
