Site Tracking Volunteer Ask

ActiveCampaign

When's the best time to ask someone about volunteering for an event? Why not when it's fresh on their minds?

When people first find out about your upcoming event, they are excited and looking forward to it. This is a great time to reach out and ask them if they would be willing to give some of their time to volunteer. Some programs even use shifts for volunteers, so they can also increase attendance and get to experience the event as a guest for a portion of the event.

This automation sends an email to contacts a few hours after they visit your page about the upcoming event. The email asks if they would be interested in volunteering for the upcoming event. Feel free to segment the trigger if there's only a portion of your contact list you want to ask to volunteer, such as past volunteers or donors.

Here's how this automation works:
1. The automation is triggered when a contact visits your page for the upcoming event.
2. The contact waits for 5 hours in a wait step.
3. The contact is sent an email asking if they would like to volunteer. Make sure to include a way for them to express interest, such as a form or tracked link for them to click.

Note: Note: You will need site tracking set up before setting this automation to active for it to work. You can also specify a subdomain of your site by using an asterisk (*) after the domain you want to track. Such as example.com/pricing/* would track any pages visited in the pricing subdomain of the site.
