Author: Upcoming Writing Workshop Text Reminders

Have you ever signed up for an event, got excited, only to look at your calendar and realize you missed it?

Maybe you got the date wrong when you first put it in, maybe life just got hectic, but either way, missing an event you were excited about is never fun. Send reminders to your contact via SMS about your upcoming workshop so they don't have to experience this disappointment, no matter how crazy life gets.

This automation is triggered 2 days before the writing workshop or other event. A SMS message is sent to your contact letting them know the event is coming up and reminding them of any information they need ahead of time. After a small wait, another message is sent on the day of the event.

Here's how this automation works:
1. The contact enters the automation 2 days before the event.
2. The contact reaches a Send an SMS step and is reminded about the upcoming event.
3. The contact is held at a wait step for 2 days.
4. The contact arrives at another SMS step and is reminded the event is later that day.

Note: Don't forget to create the date based custom field storing the workshop date for the date based trigger before you import this automation.

Note: Feel free to adjust the timing on this automation to what makes sense for your business and event. You could even build out more messages and other actions to have a longer workflow.
