Invite To Join Community On Visit To Help Pages

Who makes the best community members?

The answer is different depending on your business and needs, but two conditions that typically denote a good candidate are the contact being a paid member of your service, or at least have made a purchase from you, and someone who tries to learn more. Other community members can give the new member answers to tough questions, helpful tricks, and a sense of community.

This automation checks for contacts who are going to the parts of your site to learn more about your product and then checks for other conditions to ensure they would be a good community member. Then an invite to join the community is sent to those who meet all qualifications.

Here's how this automation works:
1. The contact enters the automation when they visit the site or subdomain you specify in the trigger.
2. The contact reaches an If/Else action that checks to see how often the contact has visited your page and if they are a customer.
3. If they meet the conditions, they will go down the "Yes" path and be sent an email to join your community.
4. If they do meet both conditions, they will down the "No" path and exit the automation.

Note: You can use an asterisk to denote a visit to any page within that subdomain. In our example, we use the page example.com/help/* to track a visit to any page within the help subdomain. If you have a Learn section, this is another great subdomain to use.

Note: To check for if the contact is a paid customer or member, we use the condition "is in list Membership list". Feel free to adjust this condition to however you track a contact being a member/paying customer.
