Often you will want to control who can and cannot access your survey. iSalient offers three ways to do this that allow for varying levels of simplicity and restriction. You can find these security settings on the
Survey Options page (under Manage Surveys), within the
Security Options section.
The simplest way to restrict access to your surveys is by setting up a password. Anyone who knows the survey password will then be able to log in and complete the survey, and anyone who does not have the password will not be able to.
Another way that you can secure a survey is by setting up access codes. This is especially useful if you have a list of names, usernames, or other identifying information about the people you would like to have complete your survey. You can then simply paste in your list, as pictured below, and then place a survey link on your web page or in an e-mail to let people know where they can access the survey.
You can also restrict your survey to a particular IP range. This is very useful for surveys that you intend to have completed on-site within your business.
Finally, you can secure your surveys by limiting responses to only individuals whom you have sent e-mail invitations to by using iSalient's built-in e-mail functions. This setting, pictured below, can be found on t he
Survey Options page under the
Response Options section.
