The default settings of iSalient prevent respondents from answering a survey more than once from a single computer. However, in some cases you may find it desirable to answer multiple times from one computer.
The settings to make this possible can all be found under the Survey Options for the specific survey you would like to enable this for. Simply select the Manage option from the Surveys menu to access the list of Surveys that you have set up, and then click the Options link next to the survey you would like to modify.
The settings you are looking for, pictured below, are contained within the Security Options and Response Options sections.
Under Security Options, you will need to enable the option to Restrict Survey with Access Codes and add in a list of access codes to be used. This changes the normal behavior of iSalient, which is to track survey responses by IP address. Now the responses will instead be tracked by access code.
There are two additional settings that must be changed to enable multiple responses from one computer, and they are both under the Response Options section. You must disable the option to Allow Respondent to Return to Finish Survey and also disable the option to Allow Respondent to Change Prior Responses. The other two options in this section are turned off by default, but you should make sure to turn them off if you have previously enabled them for any reason. Disabling these settings will prevent iSalient from using a cookie to determine whether a particular computer has been used to access the survey in the past.
