If you are receiving a blank page or a blank screen then it could be due to any one of a number of common errors such as uploading in ASCII, loaders not being configured properly, or PHP running out of memory. The reason why you are not receiving a corresponding error message is because your set up is configured to not display errors or your memory is exhausted and this is not allowing pages to finish loading.
If this is an error that is not displaying then you can find the error on your web server's error logs.
You can troubleshoot this even if you don't have access to your web server's error logs:
Try reuploading all files in binary format only just in case some or all of your files were uploaded in the wrong format. You would be surprised how often simply reuploading all files corrects this issue.
We mentioned that this could be due to loaders not being configured properly. An instance where this could be the case is when you are unable to access a certain page on your install. The page that you are trying to display may be requiring access to a file that is in a directory that is not supported. Placing a test file in the directory used with this page will let you know if this page is supported by the loaders you are using for this install.
The memory could be exhausted. A lot of people with default PHP installations only have 8 megabytes for their memory limit. Memory exhausted errors can cause you to have blank pages. This can cause pages to not finish loading, apparently stopping in the middle. We recommend at least 64 megabytes for a memory limit.
