Using PHP Version 5.2.5+ with Ioncube Loaders
Beginning with PHP version 5.2.5, it will be necessary for the server administrator or web host to install Ioncube loaders. This differs from previous versions of PHP where the Ioncube loaders could often simply be uploaded by either our support team or by a client who is performing the installation themselves.
Why Does the Server Administrator or Web Host Need to Install the Ioncube Loaders for PHP version 5.2.5 and above? PHP version 5.2.5 and higher modifies the behavior of dl() so that module extensions can only be installed from the extensions directory. This means that for PHP versions 5.2.5 and above, the Ioncube loader would need to be installed in the php.ini file by your web host or server administrator.
What Needs to be done to use Ioncube with PHP version 5.2.5 and above? If your server uses PHP version 5.2.5 or above and you would like to use the Ioncube encoded version of our software, please contact your server administrator or web host or system administrator and request that they install the Ioncube loaders.
