License Activation and Load Balanced Servers
Our license activation scheme uses two components -- host name and path -- to mark an activation. If you use load-balancing for your web server, even though you have the software on each machine, the activation should work fine -- provided two conditions are true. One, that each machine which is the software installed on it report the same host name as all the others. Two, that each machine has the software installed in identical paths.
For example, if you have two machines, a.domain.com and b.domain.com, they should both report themselves as the same name -- domain.com, or www.domain.com, or whatever you have designed. If 1-2-All, for example, is installed on a.domain.com as /var/www/12all, then b.domain.com must also have 1-2-All installed as /var/www/12all.
