I've installed triolive 1.09 and support trio 2.60.6, both demo versions, on a viaverio siganture account.

when i've started a chat conversation the idle times of messages may varies from 20 seconds to 4 minutes.
When administrator (4 minutes idle) write something the costumer has written more than 3 messages after the administrator's original message has arrived.

Is this normal?
the idle time between messages depends on the client hardware. (AJAX)
Does it depends on the server configuration and hardware?
conecction speed?

thanks.

That is somewhat unusual to have such a long amount of time between posting a message and receiving it.

Sometimes, javascript errors can cause either the operator or visitor side not to receive messages, but TrioLive has been pretty stable on that front for a while now -- and even so, sending a message usually jumpstarts javascript in those cases and any queued messages will be received.

Therefore, it doesn't seem like this is a javascript error. The environment can be contributing to the problem -- something that may lag the response time of the server itself, or perhaps the network conditions such as connection speed or the amount of bandwidth available. What is different about the client hardware, that you can tell, that causes the slowdowns to increase?

Actually, i was trying triolive and i've seen some javascripts errors on the administrator console. It worked and allows me to chat. But as you've said, this could be the problem. i´m going to reinstall and then tell you what happends.

thanks for the comments.
