Hey folks

I could be missing something but the usermanual is asking me to chmod files that are not there, the first file they asked for engine.inc.php I have a default.engine.inc.php

The second is its asking me to chmod a backups folder in the admin folder, I dont have this

I am using the zend download

root@server2 [/home/arrivele/public_html/12all/admin]# ls
./ default.authentication_db.inc.php messages_archive_html.php sendmessage.php
../ default.engine.inc.php* modules/ send_monitor.php
attach.php functions/ no_layout_prepend.inc.php sendtest.php
autoresponder_archive_html.php htmlpreview.php prepend.inc.php sql/
bounce_pipe.php images/ send_app3.php subscribe_pipe.php
context/ index_log.php send_appm2.php templates/
cron_bounce.php index.php send_appm3.php tmp_imp/
cron.php install.php send_appm.php unsubscribe_pipe.php
cron_pop.php main.php send_app.php updatecheck.php
cron_responder.php media/ sendingiframe.php updater.php
root@server2 [/home/arrivele/public_html/12all/admin]# cd backups
-bash: cd: backups: No such file or directory
root@server2 [/home/arrivele/public_html/12all/admin]#

Please advise.

Maybe the user manual hasn't been updated to this new version. I would just go by the setup.txt file in the docs subdirectory, it lists the chmod files.

Yes - please use the docs included with the download such as setup.txt

We are phasing out the old pdf user manuals and focusing on KB content and KB generated pdf's for the future.

We're web developers and we're reselling 12all to our customers. Where should our customers go for documentation if not to a manual that we can print out or show them online?

Thanks.

We are working on an export to HTML option for our KB. You will then see an option in the future to export to html or pdf the full KB with allowing you to modify text and what not.
