Tracking statistics is of central importance to users of 1-2-All email marketing. We have recently spent some time revamping our message archive so that you’ll never look at stats the same way. We started by changing the navigation and adding a tab-based menu for the archive. We then added some AJAX loading and auto-refreshing of all stats. In addition, we cleaned up how the graphs are displayed and added RSS feeds for all the major stats and improved the export capabilities. Download a copy of 4.70 to give it a try. A common sales question we receive goes something like “How does your product compare with product X?”
And it is a fair question. Some may say it is an easy question. When asked we will reply that our company policy is to not do direct product comparisons. While this does surprise some users, it does not hurt our sales process in any substantial way. Rather than doing a direct product comparison we take the opportunity to give the benefits of our products and will help explain why our products are as popular and successful as they truly are.
A product comparison is a murky type of marketing and in some cases it is simply unethical and even illegal. A product comparison from a company (not a third party) allows the company to choose the features to be compared. And even more difficult is how particular features act and are at the risk of varied interpretation. I could distort any feature in our products to be just enough different to say a competitor doesn’t have it. But I won’t. Due to these facts product comparisons often contain a useless and rather cheesy sales message.
So the next time you see a product comparison take a second and ask yourself if it helps you or turns you away…

Today we introduced our new pricing options for TrioLive Hosted. In the past our pricing has been a monthly per user cost. While this did work for many clients, we noticed that it was causing a great amount of confusion for many users as well. After analzying the situation for quite some time we are adjusting our pricing to be plan based pricing rather than per user pricing. Here are the availalbe plans:
Current clients will not be affected by this change. We have adjusted all current clients to the 15 Operators plan or above when needed. Thus all current clients will have at the minimum, 15 operators available at the same price they were paying last month.
We hope this change will help clear some of the confusion with our old pricing options. If you have any questions or feedback please contact us.

Email Marketing succeeds as a form of direct marketing because compared to printed mail or printed newsletters it delivers immediate results, statistics are easily tracked, and it is inexpensive. Email marketing not only receives quicker response rates, it also saves a significant amount of time. Unlike mailed advertisements there is little delay and unlike web sites which rely on site traffic to generate sales, advertisers can push sales without waiting for someone to visit their web site. Mailings that are regularly sent out on a lets say weekly, bi-weekly, or a monthly basis are an affordable way of automatically attracting repeat business. Mailings that are properly formatted and contain brand logos reinforce brand identity and product awareness.
The immediate impact of email marketing can be seen in generating web site traffic. This represent a golden opportunity for marketers to make money through advertising. This is all the more true when taking into consideration that ideally you will be reaching out to a vast pool of subscribers who have opted in to receive mailings based on subjects that are of genuine interest to them. You can use embedded links in your mailings to direct customers to areas of your site that hold their interest. Then you can follow up with personalized mailings that contain targeted content.
Newsletters afford marketers the interactivity and personalization that print based marketing never had any way of achieving. Managing your list of subscribers with a database that may include any number of subscriber fields allows you send mailings in bulk and at the same time keep a high level of personalization. You can generate subscription forms that contain any number of subscriber fields with customer data such as address, zip code, gender, and country. You can then include this information in mailings by using personalization tags or you can create sending filters to send to groups of subscribers based on subscriber fields.
Email marketing is especially attractive to marketers because it delivers results that are measurable. Newsletters allow advertisers to track users through statistical tracking which can include bounces, unsubscribes, read opens which track which subscribers have opened and read a mailing, and link tracking or click through rates. These statistics can be used to correlate Marketers can then employ new strategies in order to strengthen response rates.
Email marketing has been widely hailed as second only search marketing as an effective online marketing tactic. Unlike mailed advertisements there is little delay and unlike web sites which rely on site traffic to generate sales, advertisers can push sales without waiting for someone to visit their web site. There’s also an eco-friendly reason for going with email marketing route. Unlike its print based cousin email marketing is green friendly as it is paper free.
While email marketing is legitimately used by reputable businesses in order to market to their existing client base, unsolicited mailings known as spam continue to cloud the industry by infuriating about anyone that has ever had an email account anywhere. As previously mentioned this is not only disruptive but it also cast a shadow over anyone that email markets as sometimes even legitimate permission based mailings are misidentified as spam.
Because the medium has been pervasively exploited legislation has become necessary in order to combat spam which has universally become a headache for individuals and businesses alike. Businesses interested in email marketing should thouroughly investigate anti-spam legislation such as the United States’ CAN-SPAM Act (Controlling the Assault of Non-Solicited Pornography and Marketing Act). The name itself points to spams seedy nature in delivering mailings that our not only unwanted but offensive in nature. Also be sure to study the European Privacy & Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 or your Internet provider’s acceptable use policy. Some ISPs have restrictions on the mailings that you are allowed to send so that is also something you will need to check before hosting your own email marketing solution.

Another year is upon us and its imperative that as an affiliate marketer we stay abreast of the most current trends in the ever changing world of affiliate marketing. A key online trend to look for would be the evolution of the world wide web from structured web pages to desktop applications such as Google Desktop. Adobe Air allows you to create software applications on your desktop without using a browser. Increasingly we are seeing less of a reliance on web browsers for accessing web content. Along the same lines content is being interspersed in multiple places whereas in the past you were restricted to trying to get users to land on a page for accessing content. You can now distribute content in the form of RSS feeds, widgets, etc. Feedburner, a news feed management provider, is getting attention. What this does is provide custom RSS Feed and management tools to bloggers, podcasters, and other web-content publishers. Affiliates looking to get ahead of the curve should focus on building up their brand.
Todays interactive web community needs more than affiliate links or ads simply stuck on a page to hold their attention. Looking for new ways to draw attention to your affiliate program is a good way of captivating your audience. You could for instance start your own blog. Also, actively research your the products you are marketing in order to come up with new ideas for drawing attention to your affiliate program. Don’t discount social networking sites either. Success may lie in embracing a community oriented approach to the web that goes beyond the one dimensional approach to affiliate marketing that has been used in the past. Just some ideas. Here’s to looking forward and embracing the future. Its a new year and its wise to embrace innovative and exciting new approaches to distributing content for your affiliate marketing program.

We have been working on a large structural and design change to the 1-2-All message archive page. We plan to eliminate alot of the common annoyances with this page and introduce a number of time saving features. It has been a while since the archive page has seen any design update. We have added features throughout the years, however these new features have lost some value by being hard to find/utilize.
Below you will see how the basic structure of the page will appear. There is still work to be done (both code and design) however the end result will be an extensive update in terms of usability and general work-flow. Viewing, analyzing, and exporting any and all relevant statistics should be quick and easy.

Do you have any feedback regarding the message archive page? Features missing, design problems, etc..? Let us know!
